The Ai-Fi HomeCloud app is the mobile version of the Ai-Fi file synchronization application supported over a variety of Ai-Fi devices, including the mobile phones, intelligent pads, desktop PCs, remote servers, etc. Ai-Fi file synchronization must be anchored on an Ai-Fi HomeCloud server, a separate Home Server component of the Ai-Fi infrastructure, through which all defined devices are directly or indirectly synchronized with each other.

This app may run independently, or as an extension of the Ai-Fi Central app by taking advantage of the strong authentication offered by Ai-Fi Central, supporting automatic log-in, authentication based on cryptographic key pairs, in-app documentation, and pre-packaged shortcuts for most frequently used functions like photo uploads and easy backup to offline storages. If running as a standalone without coupling with Ai-Fi Central app, this app is said to be in "administrative mode", which is authenticated by the remote Home Server through an administrative account ID and password that is viewable through the administrative screen on the Ai-Fi Desktop application such as the Ai-Fi Desktop for Windows currently supported on Wintel PCs running Windows 10.

This Ai-Fi HomeCloud app is based on the open source project Nextcloud with many distinct areas of improvement, focused exclusively on privacy protection and prevention of account hijacking:

1. Instead of advising our users as to maintain a basic account hygiene, we build into our app strong defenses against account hijacking attempts. As the protection is painstakingly tailored to the Ai-Fi ecosystem, random attacks are completely held off from entering into the private security domain by the TOFU (Trust On First Use) authentication protocol with the physical possession of the Ai-Fi Wallet as the second factor. According to Google research, this mechanism will help block 100% of automated bots and 96% of bulk phishing attacks. (Re: https://research.google/pubs/pub48117/)
2. For "targeted attacks", which requires additional investment ("hack for hire") and almost exclusively based on specially crafted Phishing messages against identified high-value targets, would not pass TOFU and certainly fail the key negotiation during the end-to-end encryption process. We are confident that this will prevent 100% of targeted attacks.
3. As the authentication is based on a cryptographic Ai-Fi Wallet, it is pseudonymous.
4. This Ai-Fi HomeCloud app is the client software running on a mobile platform for accessing the target HomeCloud server, which may be behind a firewall but still capable of allowing authorized clients to reach in based on a SSL-certificate-protected host name (in the form of abc.ai-fi.me) and open Internet addressability.

For actual remote file access and synchronization functions, please refer to the community version of their original sources and documentation at https://nextcloud.com. The documentation on Ai-Fi infrastructure is offered over many in-app help texts.
